Eyetec IRO840T
IFSEC Security Industry Innovation Award 2006 winner
Motion Detector Eyetec IRO840T won the Security Industry Innovation Award 2006 in the category Best New Intruder Alarm Product at IFSEC!
In December 2005 Siemens Building Technologies proudly introduced Eyetec?, the first motion detector featuring a revolutionary optical detection system.
Heart of the detector is a CMOS image chip which has been developed in close co-operation with leading universities in Switzerland. The specific design of this image chip fulfils the stringent requirements needed for security applications. Sophisticated image processing algorithms combined with the PIR signals result in an unrivaled catch performance and an unprecedented immunity against unwanted alarms.
The Eyetec distinguishes itself clearly from any other motion detector. For the first time ever, a single detector fulfills both the EN50131 grade 4 standard and also complies with VdS Class C. Eyetec's antiblocking mechanism detects masking attempts in the entire room. A reduction of the supervised field is recognized and will cause an alarm.
Eyetec is more than just a motion detector; it's an entire detection system. Its capabilities will satisfy demands for highest levels of security and user flexibility.
Precise limitation of the surveillance area within the room is extremely simple and safe thanks to the live picture in the Eyetec communication tool - no mechanical adaptations are required. Exit routes can be defined, which allow movement only in a specific direction. Naturally the pictures stored before, during and after an alarm event can easily be downloaded. Knowing that more than 98% of all alarms are unwanted, the cause of an alarm event can be quickly determined.
