These products are critical components of the Control4 Panelized Lighting solution, which enables complete, discrete control over whole-home and commercial lighting systems via sophisticated keypad and touch screen interfaces, rather than a collection of switches on every wall.

The Control4® 5-Slot and 2-Slot Panelshouse all centralized components of a Control4® Panelized Lighting System. Both panels include a variety of creative features designed to make installation and wiring of the system quick and convenient.

The Control4® Terminal Blocksmount in a Control4 5-Slot or 2-Slot Panel and are used to terminate field wiring (Line, Neutral, and Load) for each circuit in a Panelized Lighting system. Installed adjacent to 8-Channel Dimmer, 8-Channel Relay, 8-Channel 0-10V Dimmer, Bus Power Supply, or 8-Port Ethernet Switch modules, Terminal Blocks provide the appropriate connections for each module type. Terminal Blocks are sold separately from modules to allow for termination of field wiring during the rough-in phase. All modules can then be installed and wired to the Terminal Block during the trim-out phase.

The Control4 Panelized Lighting solution requires in-depth training and knowledge, and Control4 has designed a series of training courses to prepare dealers for this new generation of lighting products. No certification is required to purchase the Panels and Terminal Blocks; however, dealers must complete training certification in Panelized Lighting prior to the purchase of dimmer/relay/0-10V modules when they become available. Two separate courses are required: Control4 Lighting Fundamentals and Control4 Panelized Lighting. The Lighting Fundamentals course covers dimming technologies and load types while the Panelized Lighting course includes a complete system overview, installation, and programming in Composer. We also recommend taking the Advanced Lighting Scene Agent training. These courses are available at:

Must the Control4 Panelized Lighting modules be installed in the Control4 Panels? Control4 Panelized   （灯光模块必须安装在Control4的面板里吗？）

No, the modules can also be installed in standard DIN rail panels. The Control4 Panels, though, provide improved performance for the modules and an optimized wiring solution.  不是的，模块还可以安装在标准导轨面板里。但是Control4的面板可为模块提供改善的性能和最佳的布线解决方案。

Why don’t the Terminal Blocks come pre-installed in the Panels? 接线端子为什么不预制在面板里呢？
There are several models of Terminal Blocks and they are specific to the type of module that will be used with the Terminal Block. Since modules can be arranged in the Panels in any combination, the Terminal Blocks are sold separately so that the proper Terminal Block can be matched with the module that will be installed.

有几种型号的接线端子，和他们针对的特定类型模块，要和接线端子一起使用。但是在任何组合中模块都可以安装在面板里面，所以才单独出售接线端子，这样合适的接线端子就可以与所要安装的模块匹配。

Yes, the "Panelized Lighting" course on Control4 University has an "Installation" section that covers the physical install of the panel and the wiring.

Are there any guidelines for panel installation?有面板安装指南吗？
The training covers this in more detail, but there are a couple things to keep in mind:培训课程里面包含更多这方面的详细信息，但有几件事需要记住：

• The Panels require ventilation. Make sure to leave at least 30" of clear space in front of the Panels.  面板需要通风。请确保在面板前面至少留有30寸的畅通空间。
• The modules do make noise—primarily relay clicking (even on the 8-Channel Dimmer.) Don’t install the Panels where the noise would be a nuisance.  模块会发出噪音——主要是继电器会发出干扰声（即使在8路调光器上）不要安装电池板，噪音将会是一个麻烦。

Are there any requirements for which modules go where in the panel?对面板里的模块有什么要求吗？
No, but there are a few best practices:   没有，但是有一些最佳实践：

• Non-load bearing modules such as Ethernet Switches, Gateways, and Bus Power Supplies should be installed toward the bottom.  非承重模块，比如乙太网路交换机，网关和供电器应该安装在底部。
• 8-Channel Dimmers should be installed toward the top for best heat dissipation. 为了最佳散热，8路调光器应该安装在顶部。

Does an Ethernet Switch need to be installed in each panel? 以太网交换机需要安装在每一个面板上吗？
No, if desired, each module in the Panel can be wired to a centralized Ethernet Switch. Alternatively, a single Control4 Ethernet Switch could be mounted in a panel and connect to modules in multiple Panels—as long as ports are available.

No, the panels should always be installed vertically.
