The communications network in Sichuan Province was tremendously affected by the 8.0 magnitude earthquake that happened in Wenchuan County in Sichuan Province at 14:28 on May 12th. China Mobile has sent out a large number of human resources to resume the normal operation of the communications network. But immense difficulties such as the arduous terrain, a wide coverage of the disaster-stricken areas and continuous aftershocks, have aggravated the urgent repairing work of China Mobile.
On the morning of the 13th, led by the General Manager, CDCCS immediately gathered together the company’s management and formed an emergency response team, targeting at “support the earthquake stricken areas and repair the communications network urgently”.
At 4 pm on the 14th, CDCCS management team took the initiative to contact the headquarter of China Mobile and was informed that China Mobile was in urgent need of cable-repairing equipment, so the management promptly decided to deliver all the existing equipment that the company has to China Mobile. Relevant personnel immediately organized and sent 5 sets of equipment to the headquarters of China Mobile Sichuan branch 3 hours later. Among these 5 sets of equipment, 2 of them (valued at RMB150,000) were given to China Mobile as charity donation.
CDCCS solemnly promised to China Mobile that the company will take the urgent repair as the top priority, support the urgent emergency repair with full capacity and will give response within 24-hour. If China Mobile has any needs, CDCCS will respond at the first time once notified. “The natural disaster is merciless, yet there is love and care among human beings.” CDCCS will join hands with China Mobile to overcome the difficulties and make due contributions for earthquake relief.
